These are original poems, but I didn't write them. I just cut words out of magazines, newspapers, junk mail, and save them. Then I start arranging them on a page until I sumble upone something I like. Amazingly there are themes and threads that come from my subconsious mind while I'm cutting out words. I wish I had a better pair of scissors. http://chickollage.blogspot.com/2007/04/365-collage-poetry-challenge-day-6.html

My True North (a birthday poem)
On Dec. 2nd Kathie has a birthday. She will be 61. I'm married to an older woman. Well, not older than me, but I've never been married to someone her age ever before. She is my cougar. My red hot smokin' mama. She is my true north. She has kept me on course for over 40 years. I'm not an easy person to live with. I'm broken. I'm both troubled and troubling. But Kathie is my true north. This is her Birthday card from me. I can post it early, because she never looks at this stuff. She thinks the computer is a big wierd multimedia solitaire gaming system.
